All the quirky things in Eugenemon's life

Throughout the day with this Samsung phone, the two most used features would be Voice calls and Short Message Service (SMS).

Here comes the big problem. SIM memory add Phone memory will get me 70 saved messages before I get the “out of memory” notification. Every message that is being received, will automatically be saved to SIM memory. Once the SIM memory is full, messages received are automatically saved to phone memory. All of this cannot be set. Anyway, it means that I have to clear my inbox once a day, at the very least.

Next problem. Occasionally, randoms will SMS my father. My father does not read English in anyway other than “Yes” and “No”. Hence, he will forward the message to me so I would decipher it and reply in Chinese to him. This phone does not support Chinese character input. That’s it.

Today is the second day without my Nokia E7. I’m starting to miss my anytime-also-can-check social networks, instant messaging, and HD games. (Below)

I was out today. Somethings to ponder about:

  1. While taking the public bus, I simply sat and fell asleep. It seems like I had more rest time.
  2. While waiting for the public bus, I looked at passing cars and people around me. I realized I became more conscious of my surroundings.
  3. When I met my companies, I was more involved in the gathering. Less time spent typing away on the phone.
  4. Lastly, at the end of the day when I reached home, the battery level didn’t moved at all. How is that possible with the smartphone?

This is my recently bought Nokia E7. And also recently, it broke down because I did something to it. It could not be switched on after I did some very bad things to it. Anyway, when I visit Nokia Care Centre @ Vivo City, Singapore, I simply told the counter receptionist “cannot on” (Singlish). The lady seriously wrote “cannot on” on the queue number slip. Haha!

So my phone would be hospitalized for 5 days, as mentioned by the staff. And my journey without a smartphone begins…

This is a non-camera Samsung flip phone. Its functions are:

  • Voice calls
  • SMS
  • MMS
  • Fanciful Polyphonic Ringtones
  • Calculator
  • Alarm
  • Games
  • It also has a GPRS browser, which doesn’t work.

I am going to live with this for the next 5 days and also the coming 2 years of my life.

This is my first time using wordpress mobile client and also my first photo shoot. It was superb tiring. But EFFORTS weren’t wasted. Thank you.
